The Lansing Derby Vixens are Lansing’s only WFTDA roller derby league and we’re always looking for new skaters, referees, non-skating officials and other volunteers.
We’re a strong, stable, skater-owned, skater-driven organization dedicated to promoting the sport of roller derby, empowering women from all walks of life and bettering our community. Whether we’re volunteering for local events or donating portions of our proceeds to charity, we #lovelansing and we show it!
There’s room for everyone on our team!
Join the Vixens!
The next Derby 101 class starts on March 18! You can sign up now on our Facebook page.
Whether you’ve been skating for years or you’ve never skated a day in your life, we’ll teach you everything you need to know! Each new Vixen goes through a dedicated training process designed to help her become a safe, confident and effective skater. From falling properly to learning how to execute the perfect hit, we’ll have you ready to bout in no time! Contact us at email@example.com for information on how you can “be your own hero!”
Join the Vixens’ Zebra Brigade! Our referees ensure we’re following the rules and keep us all safe when we’re skating. Skates are necessary, but even if you’ve never skated before, we’ll make sure you’re ready to hit the track a lot sooner than you might believe! For more information, contact head referee Adam Smasher at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep stats for our team at our bouts! You’ll learn to track penalties, be a jam timer, keep score, time penalties and more! You can even travel with us! We’ll teach you everything you need to know! Want more info? Contact Bert Hert, our head NSO at email@example.com.
No matter how you want to be involved, we’ll gladly accept your help! We need people to help us set up the track, sell merchandise, register fans for giveaways and other prizes, etc. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
